Yakovtsi village
The village of Yakovtsi is located about 5 kilometers west of the town of Elena. It is situated in a hilly area around a small stream. To the west of the village is the "Yovkovtsi" dam, built on the Veselina River. The origin of its name is associated with the first settler named Jako. There is also a proposal for the icon painter Jacob.
