Shkorpilovtsi is located 30 km south of Varna, 35 km from Varna Airport and 94 km north of Burgas. The resort is a combination of the most beautiful part of the eastern Balkan Mountains, covered with coniferous and deciduous forests with an extensive pristine beach with fine sand, about 12 km long and 100-120 m wide, in places covered with dunes. This area is very popular for children's recreation. About 8 km to the north is the famous children's sports and health complex "Kamchia" and the sandy stretch from Shkorpilovtsi reaches it.

Sea Dunes Children's Complex in Shkorpilovtsi was opened in 2014. The complex is located right next to the sand dunes and consists of three sectors, which include a hotel part, two-floored villas and bungalows, with a total number of beds over 1000.
